20W Diode Galvo for High-Speed Precision Engraving
In addition to the 55W CO2 laser, this configuration includes the 20W Diode Galvo Module.
The module uses xTool Hybrid Motion technology, combining machine movement with galvo mirrors to enable detailed engraving at speeds up to 6,000 mm/s.
The diode galvo is particularly useful for:
Fine text, logos and illustrations
Detailed engraving on wood and leather
Fast product personalization
Engraving on compatible dark acrylic
Marking certain painted or coated metal surfaces
Repetitive engraving jobs where speed matters
Combining CO2 and diode galvo technology allows you to cut wooden products and then add detailed engraving without moving the workpiece to another machine.
The 20W Diode Galvo Module also provides the foundation for the Laser Swap system used by the included 60W MOPA laser.
60W MOPA Laser for Advanced Metal Processing
The main advantage of the X1 MOPA configuration is the powerful 60W MOPA laser source.
MOPA technology provides extensive control over laser parameters, including pulse duration, pulse frequency, power and processing speed. This enables different types of markings, textures and finishes on compatible metals.
The 60W MOPA laser is suitable for applications such as:
Permanent marking of metal components
Engraving logos, text and serial numbers
Color marking on compatible metals
Deeper metal engraving
Three-dimensional relief structures
Personalized metal promotional products
Technical identification codes and product markings
Decorative patterns on metal surfaces
According to xTool, the MOPA laser has a spot size of approximately 0.04 × 0.04 mm and supports processing speeds up to 6,000 mm/s.
This makes the X1 particularly interesting for businesses combining everyday laser cutting with professional metal engraving.
Color Engraving on Stainless Steel and Titanium
One of the most interesting applications of the 60W MOPA laser is color marking on compatible metals.
By carefully adjusting parameters such as pulse frequency, pulse duration, power and processing speed, different colors and shades can be produced on certain metal surfaces.
Typical applications include:
Colored logos on stainless steel products
Decorative patterns on titanium
Personalized metal nameplates
Color accents on promotional gifts
Artistic and creative metal engravings
Product markings with visual color coding
Actual color results depend on metal type, surface finish, laser settings and material quality.
Not every metal supports the same colors. For repeatable results, testing the actual material before production is recommended.
Deep Engraving and 3D Metal Embossing
In addition to surface marking, the 60W MOPA laser supports deeper engraving and three-dimensional relief structures.
During deep engraving, metal is removed in a controlled way to create different depths within the surface. This enables logos, patterns, decorative elements and technical markings with additional depth.
Typical applications include:
Metal nameplates and badges
Relief engraving on metal products
Technical identification and product markings
Decorative metal components
Premium personalized promotional products
Prototypes and small production runs
For dedicated metal embossing applications, xTool specifies a maximum processing area of 415 × 225 mm when using the suitable Dust Hood for Embossing.
The Dust Hood is not included as standard in this All-in-One Bundle.
Achievable engraving depth depends on the metal type, design, laser parameters and number of processing passes.
Metal Cutting with the MOPA Laser
In addition to engraving and marking, the 60W MOPA laser supports certain thin-metal cutting applications.
This creates possibilities for small metal components, thin sheet materials and detailed designs.
It is important to distinguish between cutting wood and acrylic with the 55W CO2 laser and processing metal with the MOPA laser.
Metal cutting capabilities depend strongly on material type, thickness, surface finish and required cutting quality. The 60W MOPA laser is not a replacement for an industrial sheet-metal laser cutter.
For specific applications, testing the intended results on the actual material is recommended.
RA3 Rotary Attachment for Cylindrical Products
One of the main benefits of the X1 MOPA All-in-One Bundle is the included xTool RA3 Rotary Attachment.
The RA3 allows you to engrave cylindrical and other compatible shaped objects that cannot easily be placed flat on the machine's working surface.
Typical examples include:
Metal drinking bottles and tumblers
Glasses and mugs
Cylindrical metal components
Vases and decorative products
Other compatible round objects
The rotary rotates the product during engraving, allowing designs to be applied around its surface.
The RA3 uses the MagSwap system, supporting different rotary configurations depending on the shape and dimensions of the product.
Combining the RA3 with the MOPA laser is particularly useful for personalizing metal drinkware, technical components and metal promotional gifts.
The appropriate laser source depends on the material and desired result. The CO2 laser can engrave certain glass surfaces, while the MOPA laser is primarily designed for metal processing.
Intelligent Conveyor Feeder for Longer Materials
The xTool X1 Intelligent Conveyor Feeder makes it possible to process compatible materials that are longer than the machine's standard working area.
The conveyor feeds material through the X1 in a controlled way, enabling designs to extend across a greater length.
Typical applications include:
Longer wooden panels and decorations
Signage and display projects
Elongated acrylic components
Decorative patterns
Larger projects for interior and presentation applications
According to xTool, a suitable conveyor setup can process materials up to approximately 300 cm long. Additional conveyor rails may be required for the maximum length.
The conveyor mainly provides additional flexibility for longer workpieces processed with the CO2 laser. Specialized MOPA metal processing has separate material and processing limitations.
Important: According to xTool, using the Intelligent Conveyor Feeder makes the X1 a Class 4 laser device. This configuration requires additional safety measures and is intended for trained professionals. Always follow xTool's safety instructions.
Mobile Work Stand for a Practical Workspace
The xTool X1 is a relatively large machine weighing approximately 60 kg. The included X1 Mobile Work Stand provides a stable and mobile support solution.
Its wheeled construction makes it easier to position and move the machine within a workshop, studio or production environment.
The stand is specifically designed for the xTool X1 and provides a practical foundation for a complete laser setup.
When using the Intelligent Conveyor Feeder, sufficient space around the machine is important. Materials must be able to move freely through the feeding and output areas.
The Mobile Work Stand is therefore particularly useful for businesses and workshops looking to use their available space efficiently.
SafetyPro AP2 Air Purifier
Laser cutting and engraving can generate fumes, fine particles and odors. Proper extraction and air purification are therefore important.
This All-in-One Bundle includes the xTool SafetyPro AP2 Air Purifier.
The AP2 uses a multi-stage filtration system featuring SuperCyclone technology to separate larger particles before the extracted air passes through additional filters.
This helps reduce fumes, particles and odors during laser processing.
The AP2 is particularly useful for customers installing the X1 in a workshop, studio, school or business environment.
Required ventilation and air treatment depend on the materials being processed, frequency of use and workspace conditions. An air purifier does not automatically replace all necessary ventilation and safety measures.
Three Laser Technologies in One Workflow
Combining CO2, diode galvo and MOPA technology makes the xTool X1 particularly versatile.
For example, you can cut wooden products using the CO2 laser, add fine engraving with the diode galvo and then use the MOPA laser to create permanent markings or relief structures on metal components.
The different laser sources operate within one integrated system. Each source is used for its respective processing stage rather than emitting simultaneously.
The RA3 Rotary Attachment adds capabilities for cylindrical products. The Intelligent Conveyor Feeder supports longer workpieces, while the Mobile Work Stand and AP2 help create a practical workspace.
Together, these features provide an extensive setup for product personalization, custom production, prototypes and technical engraving.
Intelligent Camera System and Autofocus
The xTool X1 features an integrated ACS camera system for accurately positioning materials and preparing cutting or engraving jobs.
The system includes:
8MP overview camera
12MP close-up camera
Ranging camera
LiDAR ranging
Autofocus
These technologies help position materials, align designs and prepare processing jobs.
The X1 works with xTool Studio, allowing you to create or import designs and control the available laser technologies.
For technical metal engraving, correct material settings, focusing and test engravings remain important for achieving repeatable results.
