xTool UV DTF A Film Sheets – Printing Film for O1 Omni UV DTF Decals

Create personalized UV DTF decals with the xTool Selected UV DTF A Film Sheets for the xTool O1 Omni Printer. This specialized A film is the printing substrate used in the UV DTF process. Designs are printed onto the film and then combined with compatible transfer materials to create self-adhesive decorations.

UV DTF decals are particularly useful for personalizing products that are difficult to print on directly. Examples include drinkware, glass jars, bottles, phone cases, decorative items and promotional gifts.

The A film is available in two sizes designed for the Mini Baseplate and Standard Baseplate of the xTool O1 Omni.

Important: A film is the printing film, not the finished transfer film. Additional materials, such as B film and the xTool LM1 Laminator, are required to complete standard UV DTF decals.

Two Sizes: Mini and A3

The xTool UV DTF A Film Sheets are available in two variants.

The sheets are pre-cut for the corresponding O1 Omni baseplate.

Mini Baseplate – 50 Sheets

The Mini version measures 12 × 31 cm and is suitable for small designs and individual decals.

This format is practical when you regularly produce small logos, text or decorations without needing a full A3 sheet.

Standard Baseplate – A3, 30 Sheets

The A3 version measures 29.7 × 42 cm and is designed for the O1 Omni's standard baseplate.

The larger format provides room for bigger graphics or multiple smaller decals printed together.

This is particularly useful for preparing small production batches.

What Is UV DTF A Film?

A film is the specialized substrate onto which the xTool O1 Omni prints UV DTF designs.

It features a slightly tacky printing surface that supports the UV printing and adhesive layers used in the process.

After printing, the design is processed using the appropriate additional films and the xTool LM1 Laminator.

For standard UV DTF decals, B film is applied during lamination. The finished graphic can then be transferred to a compatible product.

The A film is removed during application, leaving the printed decoration on the target surface.

This process enables detailed lettering, colorful logos and decorative designs to be applied without printing directly on the finished object.

UV DTF Decals for Glass, Metal and Other Hard Surfaces

UV DTF decals can be applied to various compatible hard surfaces.

Examples include:

• Glass jars, bottles and decorations

• Drinking cups and tumblers

• Metal promotional products

• Phone cases

• Ceramic products

• Compatible plastic items

• Packaging and product decorations

UV DTF is particularly useful for products with curved, irregular or difficult-to-access surfaces.

You prepare the design on A film and transfer the finished decal to the product afterward.

For reliable adhesion, the target surface should be clean, dry and suitable for UV DTF application. Adhesion and durability depend on material properties, surface finish and usage conditions.

How to Make UV DTF Decals with the O1 Omni

To create standard UV DTF decals, you need the xTool O1 Omni, A film, B film and the xTool LM1 Laminator.

The process involves five main steps.

Step 1 – Prepare Your Design

Open xTool Studio and create or import your artwork.

Choose the settings for a regular UV DTF transfer decal and adjust the design to fit the selected A film.

You can print individual graphics or arrange several smaller designs on one sheet.

Step 2 – Load the A Film

Place the A film on the compatible adhesive mat of the Mini Baseplate or Standard Baseplate.

Remove the protective liner according to xTool's instructions and ensure the slightly tacky printing surface faces upward.

Make sure the film lies flat without wrinkles or air bubbles.

Step 3 – Print the Design

Use the xTool O1 Omni to print the design onto the A film.

The printer applies the required UV ink and adhesive layers according to the selected printing mode.

Carefully remove the printed film after the job is finished.

Step 4 – Laminate with B Film

Use the xTool LM1 Laminator to combine the printed A film with compatible UV DTF B film.

This creates a transfer ready for preparation and application.

The LM1 Laminator and B film are separate products and are not included with the A film sheets.

Step 5 – Apply the Decal

Cut the transfer to size and remove the A film.

Position the decal on the product, press it down carefully using a scraper and then slowly remove the B film.

The UV DTF decoration remains on the target surface.

No heat press is required for this standard UV DTF application.

Always follow xTool's complete instructions for printing, lamination and application.

Also Suitable for Special Foil Effects

In addition to standard UV DTF decals, A film can be used as the printing base for decals with clean contours or metallic foil effects.

These applications require additional materials, such as:

• xTool Adhesive Removal Film

• xTool Hot Stamping Foil

• xTool UV DTF Adhesive Transfer Film

• xTool LM1 Laminator

In these workflows, excess adhesive or material is removed around the design, and a metallic finish can be added if required.

The A film remains the printing substrate, but the finishing process differs from standard UV DTF decal production.

These additional films and accessories are not included with the A film sheets.

A Film vs. B Film vs. Adhesive Transfer Film

Different UV DTF films are available for the O1 Omni, each serving a specific purpose.

Standard UV DTF decals generally require A film and B film.

Decals with clean contours or metallic finishes need additional materials and processing stages.

Choosing the correct film combination is important for achieving the intended result.

UV DTF Is Different from Textile DTF

Although both technologies use the term DTF, they are designed for different applications.

UV DTF produces self-adhesive decorations for compatible hard surfaces. Designs are UV-printed onto specialized film and then applied to the object.

Textile DTF uses textile inks, transfer film, adhesive powder and a heat press to decorate garments.

These UV DTF A Film Sheets are designed for the xTool O1 Omni UV DTF workflow and are not intended as standard garment transfer film.
