BCN3D Filament PVA - 2.85 mm - 500 g - Naturel
The water soluble PVA filament of BCN3D
PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) is a water soluble thermoplastic which is well suited as a support material for a wide range of filaments such as PLA, PETG or similar filaments with low printing temperature. The material can easily be washed out under normal tap water and the resulting PVA waste water can be disposed of in normal casts. (As far as it is connected to a sewage treatment plant)
Advantages and applications for BCN3D PVA filament
The 3D printing materials from BCN3D are ideally suited in combination with the BCN3D 3D printers. There are material profiles for this filament in the BCN3D Cura software on the BCN3D Sigma and Sigmax (R17 and R19), and the BCN3D Epsilon. With PVA, complex geometries can be realized using water soluble support material. Cavities and fine details at overhangs can be realized. The material is particularly suitable for design prototypes, architectural models or simple production aids.
Note: PVA filaments have hygroscopic properties. This means the material absorbs water and moisture. This property is advantageous after the printing process, but can cause problems in advance. PVA must be stored free of (air) moisture. We recommend, for example, a Polymaker PolyBox.
